What is DigiHealth?

DigiHealth is an initiative of Data Science Conference (DSC) - one of the biggest movements dedicated to AI & data science - which aims to extend its scope into the creative use of AI & data in the fields of Healthtech. The main topic of the one-day conference will be practical and creative uses of AI & data science in Bio, Med and Health industries.

DigiHealth is realized in collaboration with the Health Tech Lab, a leading organization in Bio, Med & Health in Serbia, and the Advanced medical technology and biotechnology supercluster.

A presentation about the algorithms and capabilities of AI in medicine, along some of the work for the presenter. Kristijan is a developer with 15 years of experience, Haskeller, ML practitioner.

- Dinidh O'Brien, Data Altruism, Web3, and Solving Bias in Medical Data

Bias and a lack of demographic representation in medical data are fundamental issues holding up progress in medical research. As more and more Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning programs come online, the quality, provenance, and representation of the data used to train them is coming increasingly into focus. This talk presents a solution to this €100BN/year medical data problem, a solution based on the principles of data altruism, privacy and consent, stakeholder incentivisation, and using the best of Web3 technologies to enable legal compliance and global scalability.

- Marko Zecevic, Genome-Wide Association Study of COVID-19 Outcomes Reveals Novel Host Genetic Risk Loci in the Serbian Population

Host genetics, an important contributor to the COVID-19 clinical susceptibility and severity, currently is the focus of multiple genome-wide association studies (GWAS) in populations affected by the pandemic. This is the first study from Serbia that performed a GWAS of COVID-19 outcomes to identify genetic risk markers of disease severity.
